GRAiNEY PICTURES was founded by independent filmmakers Colin Keith Gray and Megan Raney Aarons. Better known as The Sibs, the award winning brother/sister writing, directing and producing team are cross-platform storytellers and filmmakers.

The team is equipped to handle everything from ideation & scripting, interactive experiential design, production & post production, to online video optimization & distribution. ORIGINAL CONTENT - UNSCRIPTED: GRAiNEY PICTURES has an award-winning track record as unscripted storytellers in feature docs and TV & digital series.  Current credits include the feature doc Being Canadian for eOne (2014), directed by Rob Cohen, featuring comedy legends like Mike Myers, Michael J. Fox, Martin Short & Ben Stiller; Godfather of Pittsburgh a new TV series debuting on A&E produced with Mario Signore & Renegade 83 (2014); Atari: Game Over about Atari's buried E.T. video game, produced with Fuel Entertainment for XBox (2014).  Others include Redlight, a TV doc for Showtime about child sex trafficking in Cambodia; and internationally acclaimed feature doc Freedom’s Fury (HBO), about the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and the infamous “Blood in the Water” Olympic water polo match.  The Sibs and Executive Producers Quentin Tarantino & Lucy Liu were knighted by the Hungarian Government for the film.  Early work includes Killer Weather for TBS, Jackpot for TLC, and feature rock-doc Static X for Warner Bros. On the digital unscripted side, credits include SELF’s recent Burn 100 and 5 Ways To web series,  and the recent season of GLAMOUR's Why Do Guys (Conde Nast Entertainment - 2014); the mini-doc series Unnumbered Sparks about Janet Echelman & Google Creative Labs interactive art installation (2014)the rock-doc series for Beck / Lincoln Hello, Again (2013 Cannes Cyber Lion winner); and Clean Break for Schick on SONY Crackle, picked up for multiple seasons by Fuel TV (2011-13) and voted “best branded web series” by Fast Company (2010).

ORIGINAL CONTENT - SCRIPTED: GRAiNEY PICTURES develops dramatic and comedic TV series, films and digital content. Recent credits include the short film Meena, written & directed by The Sibs with Lucy Liu, based on Nicolas Kristoff’s novel “Half The Sky”; and the interactive scripted digital awareness campaign for Google, ThinkB4U.  Projects in development include Savage Lands, a revisionist take on the Lewis & Clark expedition; and Re-In, a futuristic thriller set in post apocalyptic England. GRAiNEY is also developing comedic properties with Spencer Jones out of the UK, and Canada’s Maple Gravy.
